Betty Jane Ehrhard


Betty Jane Ehrhard, 76, of Springfield, passed away Friday morning, February 29, 2008 in Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on November 4, 1931 the daughter of Robert Spencer and Clara Mae (Price) Kallam.

Betty was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, volunteered at Community Hospital for many years and was a life member of CHIEF. An avid golfer, she was a former member of the Springfield Country Club and received their "Most Improved Golfer" award. She also loved watching sports on television especially the Cincinnati Bengals and golfing events. Betty was an accomplished bridge and card player and enjoyed watching "her soaps".

She is survived by her husband, Jack Ehrhard with whom she would have celebrated fifty years of marriage on March 4th; four children and spouses, Jenny and Rick Sano of Centerville, Kelly and Brett Gault of West Carrollton, Chris and Debbie Ehrhard of Springfield and Clay Ehrhard of Springfield; two sisters, Juanita Jean Jenkins and Mary Kallam of Dayton; eight grandchildren, Heather, Alyson, Bryan, Jason, Brittney, Brett Jr., Joe (Michelle), and Christina; two great granddaughters, Bridgette and Miranda; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Spencer Kallam Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Cary Simonton officiating. Burial will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
