Thelma I. Colvin


Thelma I. Colvin, age 87 of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

She was born January 7, 1921 in Paintsville, KY, the daughter of the late Luther & Mattie (McCarty) Baldwin. She was a retired employee with the State of Ohio.

Preceded in death by her husband Ora Colvin in 1954 and by a sister Berda Baldwin.

Survivors include 3 sons Jerald Colvin and wife Debbie of Columbus, Frederick Colvin and wife Ann of Quaker City, Roger Colvin and wife Dorothea of Springfield, daughter Judy Curtis of S. Vienna, brother Luther Baldwin Jr. and wife Shirley of Xenia, 2 sisters Maxine Frazier of Springfield, and Geneva Lenox and husband Ruby of Cynthia, KY, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe, OH. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home.
