Tim M. Collinsworth


Tim M. Collinsworth, 63, of Springfield, died Wednesday afternoon, October 17, 2007 in his residence.

He was born in Champaign County on October 27, 1943 the son of Walter and Lurie (Saylor) Collinsworth. Tim worked at Jefferson Industries and previously worked as a furnace operator for Holophane (John Mansville).

Survivors include his step-mother who raised him, Jacqueline Collinsworth of Springfield; wife, Minnie J. (Stoker) Collinsworth; four children, Tim Junior Collinsworth of Springfield, Melanie Jones of Springfield, Virginia (Gary) Spitz of Andalusia, Alabama, and Glenn Collinsworth of Springfield; three sisters, Bonnie Jordan of Jackson, Ohio, Regina Gilbert of Andalusia, Alabama and Marian Baker of Dayton; five grandchildren, Mariah Banks, Christopher Hall, Petra Lurie Hall, and Jessica and Chelsea Collinsworth; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Peggy Daniels; a granddaughter, Shannon Hall; and two infant brothers, Wendell and Robert.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
