Sharon Kay (Yarger) Corvin


Sharon Kay (Yarger) Corvin, 58, of Springfield, died at 10:55 a.m., March 5, 2008 in her residence with her family and friends by her side.

She was born September 5, 1949 in Hollister, Ohio to Seldon Yarger and Evelyn (Darling) Kisor.

Sharon was a kind, caring and loving individual who enjoyed the beach, family gatherings, her many friends from work, camping with her grandbabies in the backyard and her dog Misty. She will be truly missed by her family and warmly remembered by everyone she touched and knew. Sharon was employed by Rinks and Wells. After graduating from Clark Technical College with an LPN degree she worked at several nursing agencies, the Ohio Pythian Home, the Masonic Home, Pathways House and the McCauley Center. Sharon was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Sharon leaves her husband of 39 years, William; three daughters, Cindy (Todd) Leach, Christy Bass, Cathy (Michael) Reeder; nine grandchildren, Tori and Randi Leach, Brittany, Mark and Chris Bass, Alex and Levi Brown and Andi and Avery Reeder; two brothers, Gene (Margie) Yarger and Robert (Sarah) Yarger and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews with many fine memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and brother, David Yarger.

After a five-year battle with breast cancer, Sharon went to her place in heaven. She would like to thank the many excellent doctors, nurses and other staff members of the OSU James Cancer Center. May God bless you and keep you.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Charles Wertz officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to the OSU James Cancer Center.
