Roger Alan Carroll


Roger Alan "Rabbit" Carroll, 52 of South Charleston passed away Monday, August 25, 2008.

Roger was born on March 2, 1956, the son of Candis Jakubik and the late Eugene Carroll.

Left to cherish his memory is his Mother, Wife: Arna, Daughters: Stacy Carroll of Troy & Jessica (Chris) Raulston of Springfield, Grandchildren: Alyna, Silence, Pagan, Cadence, Ciarra & Treyton, Mother of his daughters: Barbara Carroll, Siblings: Ronald (Dallas) Carroll, Michael (Denise) Carroll, Cheryl (Dan Heimann) Armbruster, Robin (Cliff) DiRoberts, all of Arizona, Steven (Mary) Carroll of Wapakoneta, Gary Carroll of Beavercreek, Barbara (Roger) Nestle, Tom Metzger both of Springfield and Steven (Shirley) Metzger of Virginia, all his special Nieces & Nephews who thought of "Uncle Rog" as one of the kids, numerous Cousins, Aunts & Uncles, Special friends: Steve & Debbie Kimble, Ray Ritchie and Rob & Carol Pinson who were so supportive during Roger's illness. Roger also leaves many other dear friends and fellow musicians to carry on.

Roger was best known for his music which he loved so much. He, along with friends, Denny, Bob & Phil hosted "Open Mic" at several area establishments as "Rabbit & Friends". He truly enjoyed listening to others perform as much as playing and singing himself.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held at John Bryan State Park, Yellow Springs, Ohio on Sunday, August 31st at 1:00 PM with Kyle Di Roberts (nephew) officiating.
