Mella June Craig


Mella June Craig, 92, of Peoria, Arizona and formerly of Springfield, passed away April 7, 2008. She was born in Clark County, on May 8, 1915, the daughter of William H. and Marilyn Craig. She had spent the last year in Arizona in the home of her niece and husband, Rich and Shara Craig Riddle.

Mella June was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church for 81 years. In 1986 she retired from The Yost Superior Company after 38 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Craig of Springfield and two great-great nieces. She is also survived by a nephew and his wife, William L. and Linda Craig of Springfield, five great nieces and nephews, and seven great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves her little dog and companion, Sophie.

There will be no visitation, and services will be private. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. It was her wish that any remembrances be made to a favorite charity.
