Donald R. Clabaugh


Donald R. Clabaugh, 79, of Springfield, passed away at 8:15 PM Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Good Shepherd Village. He was born August 9, 1928 in Jackson, Ohio the son of Pearl and Laura Clabaugh.

Donald was a very loving and caring husband. He was a loving father, step father, grandfather and step grandfather. Donald was a very wise man and was a wonderful people person. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He was retired from General Motors and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years; Judy (House) Clabaugh, two daughters Vikki (Richard ) Heil, Medway, Teresa Ledington and partner Vern, Dayton, one son Michael Clabaugh and partner Linda, Fairborn, step children; Jim (Rita) Marshall, David (Kim) Marshall, Gretchen Short all of Springfield, Heidi (Steve) Parrill, Perrysburg, Ohio, grandchildren; Steven (Fiancee Shannon) Heil, Felicia Ledington, Matthew and Amanda Clabaugh, great grandson Spencer Clabaugh, step grandchildren; Eric and Luke Short; Madalyn, Collin an Griffin Parrill; Sam, Colleen, Thomas and Ellen Marshall; Tug and Dusty Marshall Amanda (David) Hall, Guy (Stephanie) Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his wives Joyce Clabaugh and Virginia Clabaugh, a brother Fred Clabaugh and his parents.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday in Ferncliff Cemetery with Pastor William McKee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice.

Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
