Charlotte Corley


Charlotte Corley, 79, of Xenia, passed away Saturday evening in Greenwood Manor, Xenia.

She was born June 6, 1928 in Springfield, Ohio a daughter of Demus and Woster (Bibbs) Corley.

She was a graduate of Springfield High School and attended Wilberforce University. Ms. Corley was employed as an executive secretary for many years and was a member of the New North Street A.M.E. Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted brother-in-law, Edmund Cooke, Sr., a sister-in-law, Louise Corley, loving nephews and nieces, Edmund Cooke, Jr., Barbara Sims, Dorothy Corley, Janet Corley, Jackie Corley, Jerry Corley and Vickie Corley. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sydney, John, Demus, Robert and Charles Corley and a sister Cassie Cooke.

Visitation for Ms. Corley will be Saturday from 9:00AM to 9:30 AM in the New North Street AME Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday in the church with Pastor Christopher Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
